    Media Coverage

This is from Blaine Gallant of Nova Scotia:

CBC RADIO - There was a piece taped in April and this should air next week on Information Morning. About a 6 minute segment about three players who are on the team (Grade 2, 9 and 10).

CBC TV - Colleen Jones will be doing a lead up piece about the team. She will be going to the valley on Monday to see the Dorrance's and then the rest of the team on Tuesday. This will air locally late next week and she is hopeful to get it on the National news as well.

I am arranging for CBC TV to also come on the Sunday and hopefully Monday. Most likely just the Monday as the tournament ends and they can tape the winners and interview any of the local kids (Maritimes) that do well.

CTV - Similar to CBC, they are taping on Saturday to air a piece about the team and the event next week. similar to the CBC segment, they will be interviewing kids and taking lots of phots and shots of the kids. As well, I will be looking to get them to the event to cover the results.

HALIFAX HERALD - working on getting the paper their for the Monday to cover the results. Larry, here was the article about our provincials - I don't know if I sent this to you. It was a slow news day as we got front page coverage. http://thechronicleherald.ca/metro/8...ssect-old-game

NEWS 95.7 - Rick Howe, a local person with an afternoon talk show will be doing a quick 10 minute discussion / interview with me next Thursday or Friday about the event and the NSSCA.

There may be more, but I am thrilled with the amount of coverage we are going to get for the event. I can only hope that this translates into an increased profile for the NSSCA and we see an increase in kids next year.
