  • Federal NDP - Government in Waiting

Last week, a Harris-Decima poll showed the NDP leading the Conservatives, 34 per cent to 30 per cent : http://thechronicleherald.ca/editori...-conservatives

" That’s a reversal of fortune from election day a year ago, when the Tories took nearly 40 per cent of the vote to the NDP’s 30.6 per cent. "

I know Gary doesn't want to hear this bad news, not wanting to part with 20 big $, but I feel it is important he deals with reality, not vain hopes.

    Bob
with a margin of error of how much?

note the first line: POLLS today can’t tell you much about who will win a federal election three years from now.

You misread my wants and probably my sense of humour. I love to hear how well the NDP is doing - in the polls. I was even sucked into thinking the Wildrose party, with their massive lead in the polls, would win the Alberta election. Not sucked in to the point where I would bet on it, but sucked in.

If I learned anything from the last Ontario election, it was that a lead in the polls can be quickly lost as demonstrated by the Hudak Conservatives. My faith in human nature was enforced when one of his caucus took a private sector appointment.

If only you can give us an estimate of the number of riding the NDP will win in each province. The article doesn't do that. The article wonders if Mulcaiir can turn the support into votes and therein lies the fate of our small wager.

I doubt the NDP will be able to hold all the Quebec riding they won last election and I don't see much growth for them in Quebec.
