    -Budapest Team Championship: Rakosliget Division 2 round 11 BEAC IV. - Rákosligeti AC: 5-7
    Rakosliget won the season ending match and finished in 2nd in division 2.
    -Torokves A: Lantos took took clear first with 6.5/9 and Palla, Grimm and Yip shared 2nd-4th with 6/9.

    First Saturday May(New Feature)
    45 players took part as the summer season began. A summary/analysis of Gross, Net and Foreign player participation is included.
    (a)GM-Flumbort, Andras(HUN) won with 8.5/11.
    (b)IM-Galyas, Miklos(HUN) won with 7/10.
    (c)FMA-Koczo, Kristof(HUN) won with 7.5/10.
    (d)FMB-Mayer, Istvan(HUN) won with 9.5/10.

    International Tournaments
    -X World Youth Stars 2012-Artemiev,Vladislav won with 8.5/11. Antal had a tough tournament finishing with 3.5/11.

    -20th Sigeman & Co 2012-Leko,P came clear 2nd with 5/7 behind Caruana who took clear first with 5.5/7.
    -Liechtenstein 2012-Hera shared 2nd with 6.5/7 while Farago,I shared 3rd with 6/9. Izsak and Peredy both got 5.5/9.
    -42nd Open Bosna 2012 5th-11th May 2012-'Viktor Erdos took first place on tie-break'-TWIC. Banusz,T got 4.5/9
    -Karpos Open 2012-Skopje MKD-Kiril Georgiev(BUL) took clear first with 7.5/9. Top HUngarians were Berkes Ferenc =2nd on 7/9 while Hera Imre Jr finished in =3rd with 6.5/9.

    Canadian Corner
    -CHAMPIONNAT MCGILL 2012: 2000+:FM Louis Jiang won the Mcgill University Open with 4/5.
    -37th Paul Keres Memorial:FM Jack Yoos won the open section with 5/6. Hiva Menbari and Jeremy Hui shared first in the <2000 with 5/6. Michael Su and Sean Blanchard(unr) shared first in the <1600 section with 5/6.

    Theory
    (a)Grunfeld TWIC 909-912
    White has shown no threatening ideas in the battle against the Grunfeld. The most important ideas are for black.
    -Ponomariov shows how to play for a win with queens on against the 7.Be3 exchange variation by avoiding ...Qa5
    -Negi shows black is fine in Avrukh's 10.Re1 g3(D76) line in a deep theory duel
    -Svidler shows how to hold with 7...a6 against the Russian System(8.Be2) as proposed in Kaufman's Repertoire for Black and White(New in Chess 2012).
    (b)Caro-Kann Defence
    This solid defence is exploding in popularity. The key games of Karpov, Dreev and Dautov are examined to give a repertoire for black. Coverage includes
    -4..Bf5 and 4..Nd7
    -Advance variation(4.Nc3 and 4.Nf3), Panov and Exchange
