  • World’s Highest IQs

There is an on-line slide show of living people with the highest IQs. It says that four of them are grandmasters of chess but going through the list you will find that only three are explicitly shown. Bobby Fischer (with an IQ of 167) is mentioned twice but not pictured, of course. You might try to guess who the other three are.

No one will agree with everyone on the list. I would never have guessed the actress Sharon Stone was there.

    Re: World’s Highest IQs

I find it funny that Sharon Stone is on the list, because it shows that whoever created the list did very little or no research whatsoever.

    From Wikipedia:

    Mensa

For many years, Stone maintained that she had an IQ of 148 and was a member of Mensa, but in April 2002, she admitted she was not, and had never been, a member of that society. Jim Blackmore of Mensa said, "It's delightful to finally see Ms. Stone admit that she's not and never has been a member of our society." Blackmore admits Stone may be as clever as many like to think. He says, "My gut feeling is that she would definitely qualify. But that's just based on what we've been told by other individuals."

    - There is also no citation to be found of James Woods having a 180 IQ. Although he did get admitted into MIT, that doesn't conclude such a high IQ.

    - Noam Chomsky, one of the most notable intellectuals still living today, is nowhere to be found on the list.
No matter how big and bad you are, when a two-year-old hands you a toy phone, you answer it.
