Note that the Sapozhnikov-Wang had no result written on either scoresheet. I took the 0-1 result from the crosstable which Larry posted. Perhaps the crosstable is incorrect?

Roman lost on time. He thought he had made 40 moves (and thereby going to the second time control) when he had made only 39.

I agree. Another nice game by Jean Hebert. I personally enjoyed his round 2 game a lot so I won't say better :) Truly subjective of course, which what makes chess so beautiful!

To be fair, vs Kraiouchkine I missed a simple win on move 26 which takes away some of the game value. Can you find it without engine help ?

Oh c'mon Jean, if you had played more accurately than the readers would have been deprived of the enjoyable finish. This way they have that finish and your accuracy in the notes (and they get the benefit of both):) You should give yourself far more credit for the combination of moves that led to move 26 - extremely nice and forcing!

You have a point. Some mistakes can be seen as useful in allowing games to continue and flourish :). However to me such a big mistake takes quality off a game even if it may add entertainment value.
