  • My Personal Website

    Hello Everyone,

This thread is to let everyone know that I now have my own personal website which contains everything about me chess and non-chess related.

The website address is www.amanhambleton.com (go figure )

You can visit the website to check it out or find out more for yourself, but it serves a few purposes. It acts as an information portal if you'd like to read my biography, find out what I offer in terms of chess lessons, or see what chess websites I am currently active in online. It also serves as a personal blog, where I provide my own thoughts and write my first-hand experiences from chess tournaments and related chess activities I am a part of.

The beginning dates back to Corinna's World Junior Fundraising Simul and I have included up until the Labour Day Open so far. I will be including a report on the Montreal Open & Ottawa Autumn Open very soon! If you want to follow my chess, I believe the website it designed in a way that will make it very easy to do so. I also post (very little) miscellaneous content to keep it interesting when I'm not playing as much, and my next tournament will be the Elite Championship in Montreal over Thanksgiving weekend. In any case, I just wanted to let you all know that it's out there, so check it out if you feel so inclined!

Also, if anyone has any questions, comments, suggestions, or critiques please send me them! :)

    Cheers,

    Aman

Interesting site. I especially like your verbal analysis of your games. Congratulations on winning Toronto Labour Day and Montreal Open - not easy tournaments to win.

Thanks for the comments Hans - I didn't know you were so friendly with most of my past teachers! The site is updated now to include my Montreal Open, Autumn Open, and rapid tournaments that I played in September with my annotations.

Best of luck in the SPICE Cup as well... see you there! :)

Nice and tidy webpage. Keep writing.

In case you want to illustrate your autobiography here are several your historical photos taken by me:

Thanks for the comments Egidijus, and for the pictures. That last one takes me back to PWC 2009... and somehow it looks like there are highlights in my hair :D I'll definitely keep writing, and the photos will be a nice addition!

Ahmad - nice to speak with you over the weekend and thank you very much! Be in touch.

Why? Has he gotten more muscular?

Being very muscular does not mean you take steroids. In my prime I had a very strict workout routine that enabled me to build a lot of muscle. This muscle then attracted women.

Please do not lay upon false accusations to Canada's future GM and to your probable future Olympiad team member.

                      Aman,

You are truly the strongest player in chess history... Who else in the world could score 4.5 points in only 4 games? Not even Kasparov could do that!

From the CFC player information page for Aman:

                      Tournament Name: 2012 RACC Pickup
                      Tournament Date: 2012-06-14
                      Type: R
                      Games: 4
                      Pre-Rating: 2447
                      Perf-Rating: 2557
                      Post-Rating: 2468
                      Total: 4.5

In recognition of this incredible result, I vote that we rename Hamilton, ON, to Hambleton! :D

Lol at Norman. I think you were a hormone-filled teenager in your "prime" who "thought" you were attracting women :)

I had a look. Nice setup and I liked the games. The tripled g pawn was a bit different. A proper Irish Center is tripled c pawns, I think.

I was telling a friend my opinion of your play in email last weekend. A couple of days later he emailed and told me the HPE publication expressed the same opinion. Keep up the good play!
