    If you will be 60 yrs old or better in 2013 and reside in British Columbia, you have a chance to be part of history!

    Announcing the first ever BC Senior Chess Championship:

    Date: January 11 - 13, 2013

    Tournament Director: Joe Roback

    One of our goals for this inaugural tournament is to determine our BC Senior Chess Champion so that he/she can go forward to represent BC in the Canadian Senior Chess Championship, which will be held in Kitchener, ON in August 2013. This of course leads to the World Senior Chess Championship!

    This is great news. It will be good to have representatives from other provinces besides Ontario. Congrats to the organizers.

    There are five players from Canada playing in the World Senior Chess Championship been held this year in Greece. They are Andre Zybura, the Canadian Senior representative, Leon Piasetski, William Doubleday, Ian Finlay, and Pierre Maheux.
