Question: So, how is life now as an International Chess Master? Does food taste much better? Is the air much cleaner to breathe in? Do even more kids run up to you and ask for your autograph or to get their picture taken with you?
Richard's Answer:
"Even more kids? Haha :-) Becoming an International Master, and a very young one, obviously makes my chess life different from before. I’ve received a lot of congratulations from fellow chess players! But, in all honesty, it doesn’t make too much of a difference. It’s just a title by your name, and it’s not going to help you play better chess (unless you count intimidation factor!). Although I’ve reached one goal, there are still many hurdles to cross before I reach my final goal in becoming a grandmaster. So I have to keep on improving and playing chess."
