    I did up both games with light notes and a small bio+pic. I think he's an exchange student but not sure of the details. He had chances in the ending against Kosten after Kosten missed his chances earlier in the middlegame.

      So that's what 4NCL stands for (I've seen the term often in English chess articles)! I assume the 'nations' in question are England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
