A couple of years ago I posted a few links showing chess players in a few North American cities compliments of Google Streetview.
The images have changed - such as buses blocking views, and no chessplayers at all on Market St. in San Francisco (maybe they moved down the street?). Washington Square in NYC is a construction zone; no visible players in Toronto.
Has anyone got more to add?
Here are the original links:
Dupont Circle, Washinton DC:

Marshall Chess Club, 10 W. 23rd St., New York (no chessplayers in this one; the club has the green sign next to the ground-floor door):

A quiet Washington Square, New York:
http://maps.google.com/maps?q=New+Yo...,28.73,,3,4.34
Market St., San Francisco:

Another view of Market St., San Francisco:

Queen St. E., Toronto:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...334.44,,2,2.78
Lafontaine Park, Montreal - it looks like the fall or early spring - too cold for any chessplayers:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...33.88,,0,-6.38
Berri Square, Montreal - still too cool for any action on the six giant boards (sorry - looks like a bus blocks the view now):
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...,35.08,,1,4.14
The overhead view of Berri Square gives a better view - looks like a different time of year as well:

Some new ones:
Max Euweplein, Amsterdam: (note the giant chessboard - not in use):

Lucerne, Switzerland - 2 giant boards; one in use:
