    A Strategy for WWCC Reform

    A Strategy for WWCC Reform

What the CCC hoped would happen as a result of its discussion paper on WWCC reform, was:

    1. for the top 100 women chess players in the world ( which is currently FIDE 2360 and over ) to form a work group, to discuss the issue, and to hash out a proposal that at least has majority support!

    2. the issue would need to get some federations to pass motions in support.

    3. the women need two of the FIDE Federations ( 2 of Canada & Ghana & USA? - each represented in the CCC ) to bring a motion to the FIDE congress to adopt their new model, assuming they have one with majority support.

Does this seem a reasonable strategy to try to get WWCC reform?

Bob, I am afraid that just about nobody cares about the women world championship, not even the women. They are spoiled by FIDE and they know it. They are not going to spend time on reforms.

        Hi Jean:

Thanks for the feedback - not an uncommon view, I'm afraid. And possibly quite accurate.
