  • Post-Secondary Chess-Hal Bond to be Chief Arbiter

    Hello,

We are pleased to announce that IA Hal Bond will be taking the place of Chief Arbiter for the Canadian Post-Secondary Chess Championships, held from Jan 16-18, 2009 at Queen's University in Kingston, ON. Unfortunately, Alex Lambruschini was not able to help direct the event as originally planned, due to work obligations.

Hal has significant international experience, including recently as a Deputy Arbiter for the Anand-Kramnik match. We are very excited about bringing in Hal to direct the event.

Reminder: The fees for registration go up Dec. 8, and the hotel deal is only valid until Dec. 15.
