Re: 2012-2013 Canadian Junior Chess Championships

After 3 rounds, I have the impression that the Canadian Junior Champion will come from the current leaders who are tied at 2.5 points in three games:
IM Wang, FM Kleinman and FM Jiang unless something drastic happens in the remaining rounds.

More lessons needed from GM Michalevski......

        Hi Hugh,

I've been storing them as zipped files, but there would
be compatibility issues with opening for some folks, hence
no link yet on the web-page. I can provide a simpler txt
link though, if you (and ...:-), find this useful e.g. here are
the games played so far in the first five rounds:

If this is fine, I'll post the link on the web-page:-)
(I'm copying this msg. to the CJCC thread)

Don't count out the Ottawa players---Karoly Szalay and, of course, 3-time Ottawa and RA Club Champion, Joey Qin.

Re: 2012-2013 Canadian Junior Chess Championships

After 6 rounds, three players are tied for the lead at 4.5/6.
IM Wang, FM Kleinman and Joey Qin.

The previous co-leader, FM Jiang, was held to a draw by Michael Song.

Joey Qin is a tough player who can pull this one off, if he does things right. I have played Joey in the last round of the 2009 Canadian Zonal in Guelph.

I'd like to see Kleinman win it. He has to play the two favorites in the last few rounds so he can make it happen.
