    Roger that. I really like Dvoretsky's Endgame Manual and his more recent Tragicomedy in the Endgame, but the three volumes by Nunn are in a class by themselves. Why, oh why, did I not study this stuff when I was *much* younger? Answer: it didn't exist. I read Basic Chess Endings from cover to cover, but it was (and is -- alas!) full of mistakes.
