  • Aurora CC - CFC-rated event R6

    The first CFC-rated event at the AuCC ended last Monday. The winner was 10-years old Sergey Noritsyn (who celebrated his birthday during the first round.) A top-rated , Jerry Wasserman, drew the last game and secured the clear second place with 5/6. Four players shared the third place with 4 points.

    It's nice to see some of those old white plastic Russian/Soviet clocks are still around! Give one button a good hard press, and sometimes the other button would go flying through the air! (put the screw back in, and it was as good as new.)

      It's mine :) The clock did not see much abuse yet, only some 5 v 1 games during university years. It might be that it is still a Soviets clock. Can't remember when I exchanged chess books to a clock.
