Here is a fantastically complex game played in rd2.

    C.-Ratte,Olivier-Kenta (2153) - Qin,Ziyi (2459)
    King’s Indian 4 Pawns Attack [A68]
    C.O.M. 2013 (2), 16.03.2013

White won on time on move 30 but checking the final position shows some interesting lines of play based on a queen sacrifice.

GM Medvegy,Z won this game by not attempting to do much except for creating a solid but unbalanced position. White began a bit passively on the queenside and then turned to outright aggression on the kingside. Here is the feature game.

    Polischuk,V (2312) - Medvegy,Z (2561)
    Caro-Kann 4…Bf5 11.Bd2 [B19]

I was caught without suitable preparation or knowledge about this type of King's Indian Bind structure recently. After 10...Nh5(diagram) black plans to undermine the center with ...f5 and and has the option of advancing ...f4 with an attack on the kingside.

GM Smirnov,P won a routine looking game recently in the Dvorkovich Memorial tournament with the 11.Nc2, and made the win seem effortless. Here is the feature game.

      Smirnov,P (2610) - Belyakov,B (2410)
      King’s Indian Classical 7..ed[E94]

      The English Opening: Botvinnik Center-Introduction
The c4-d3-e4 is the Botvinnik pawn center and serves as a solid foundation. Botvinnik's games serve as a useful introduction to the basic methods available.

      The f5 attack wedge
One important option for white is the kingside attack with a pawn wedge. In the example game, black defended passively and was quickly overrun on the kingside.

      Here is the feature game.

      Botvinnik,Mikhail - Shcherbakov,V
      English Opening[A24]
