I'm guessing Salor Sitanggang (the only "SS" Indonesian IM) isn't going to have the happiest of 60th birthdays come June 4th.

Lol, there's quite a dichotomy between "6 years in jail and death".

That is something you dont even want to think about. When I came into the airport in Jakarta (on my way to Bali) there were big signs in English saying: "Smuggling Drugs = Death Sentence. It seems like there are still people willing to take the risk.

Those with a low heart rate, no doubt (:

You might find this 'New Scientist' read amusing, Hans.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm travelling to Indonesia next week, and will now be sure to double-check my luggage, before going in and out, to make sure nothing got planted in it....

As to genetics influencing human behavior: I expect a lot of societal debate/angst over this in the coming decades. There is no doubt your genes have a profound effect on how you behave, much more so than most are currently willing to accept. But what, if anything, do we do about it?

I have a low one as well. I bet that chess masters in general are more likely than average to have "criminal" genes.

That sounds better than listening to people complaining they are victims of society.

Although, I'd always thought that "criminal genes" term was a joke.

These two 'drug' stories, neither of which have anything to do with chess, both amuse me.
