GO Transit released summer schedules. For players the most important is the Barrie lane. The schedule is at http://gotransit.ca/public/en/update...13/Table65.pdf

Look for buses, as trains' timing is not good for a tournament.

        [bumpy road]

Finally the results of the rapid is on line ( http://www.aurorachessclub.ca/?page_id=2630 ). As I had quite tense games thus no time to look around much. :/ Thus, I present two my games :)

The last round game. I considered it smoothly played by me and the opponent did not made huge blunders.

This game was exciting for players and spectators.

After 28... Rd8, I felt that Black can be mated. However not many pieces left, anyway I took a chance with Bxh6 :)

However, I was not so precise with later moves. Thus S.N. refuted my attack, and went for some checks, and even set up a mating net. Seeing the inevitable mate, my charming queen started chasing Black King all over the board. At the moment S.N. offered the draw he flagged.

Next Monday again Rapid. However, starting June 17 we will move to other location for summer activities (see details at http://www.aurorachessclub.ca/?page_id=1096 )
        -*-*-

Everyday we receive pre-registrations to the Summer Open. The registration will stop at 9:30 am sharp on July 6 to start the first round on time. Thus plan to come early, otherwise you'll be paired for Round 2.
