    Hello Participants,

Responses are beginning to come in. I would highly encourage each participant of the team tournament to fill out the survey so that we can focus on providing the best value in the areas that matter most to you.

I will post survey results next Monday and speak to the KW Club executive shortly thereafter.

Re: 2013 KW June Quick Team Tournament Survey

I would like to summarize the survey early and provide an opportunity for discussion.

The respondants listed Quality of Competition, Venue and Equipment as what they valued most in a tournament.

Customer Service and Equipment were rated as strong.
Level of Competition and Venue were rated as weak.

Level of Competition and Prize Fund were cited as focus areas for improvement.

Here are the measures that will be taken to address the concerns raised:

Prize Fund- The TD has mentioned to me that he values this annual tournament as an opportunity to attract new players to the game. He would like to keep the entry fee at $10/person. This means the prize fund will likely remain similar.
Venue- A couple of players mentioned that the upstairs room was a little hot. This time we put 32 players downstairs and 38 upstairs. However, the downstairs room has excellent ventilation and next time we will put 48 downstairs and the rest upstairs.
Level of Competition- Half of the respondants cited this as the top area for improvement. Next Tuesday, I will propose one of the following to the KW Club Executive.

        a) Top 6 teams in a Round Robin, All Others in a Swiss.
        b) 2 Sections preset in advance (E.g. Open and U2000).
        c) 2 Equal-Sized Sections (E.g. Top 8 Teams and Other 8 Teams).

Could interested players and experienced TDs please provide feedback on these 3 ideas?
