        Quebec Open Invitational Rd4
Here are the games from the top 4 boards.

        Game 1 Sulskis,S-Sokolov,I
An uneventful draw has neither side took any risks.

        Game 2 Roussel-Roozmon-Bruzon,L
GM Bruzon sacrifice queenside pawn in Benko Gambit style and eventually converted and extra exchange.

        Game 3 Cheng,B-Rozentalis,E
Cheng sacrificed a pawn early but hit a brick defensive wall. Eventually GM Rozentalis consolidated and converted a nice QB-QB ending with opposite color bishops.

        Game 4 Chirila,I-Ostrovskiy
GM Chirila kept grinding away at an equal QB-QB position until his persistence was rewarded.

Results, standings and the games of the top 4 boards analyzed. Thanks to Hugh Brodie for promptly posting the PGNs and Rene Preotu for the nice pics.

GM Bruzon takes the sole lead with 4.5/5 after he won while GM Sokolov lost to GM Kovalyev in their respective key matchups.

                  Hans, have a nice coffee/day.

Quebec Open Rd4 Results, Standings and the annotated games Boards 1-4
GM Bruzon is in clear first with 5/6. IMs Hambleton, Panjwani and Gerzhoy are in a group of 8 with 4.5/6. GM Sulskis won a marathon game in the only decisive game on the top 4 boards. There was plenty of action in Chirila-Gerzhoy with black on the attack in the Semi-Slav but the top two boards produced only quiet draws.

Congratulations to Raja and Aman for recovering well from earlier losses! The hardest thing to do in a chess tournament.
