    ATTN: Gordon Rirchie

    Gordon Ritchie -

Looks like someone has hijacked your email account (firstlast@rogers.com), and is sending a well-known scam message - about you being stranded in the Philippines, and needing $3000 as soon as possible. Replying to the email will be replying to the scammer - that's why I am posting here. Can someone notify Gordon (by phone or in person - if he's not reading this) before someone thinks it's a serious message and actually sends $3000?

I also got the email. If I thought Gordon was having such problems I'd try to help him out but I very much doubt it. Gordon posts here are more articulate than the email I received, as an example.

I am alive and well and staying in New Brunswick where the phishing is for lobster.

I would send out an alert to all my contacts but the phishers removed them all. They a lso set up a dummy address to which replies would go. I now favour the death penalty for phishing!
