David's guitar playing is sublime. But, it shouldn't be like that ... not with those clunky fingers and hands that belong to life long bricklayer, ha!

I believe you are referring to drummer Mitch Mitchell's guitar player. (John Bonham? Neil Peart? Who are they?)

That is how I remember the show. I have never suspected foul play in his death, but maybe there was. I doubt it was political, like John Lennon must have been, but maybe some bad cops took care of him?

He would play things Hendrix style just for laughs, and do it just as well, And he did it with a bone-stock '62 Fender Telecaster, No whammy bar, no pedals, nothing. Just bends the fuck out of his strings with his left hand, so occasionally he would have to tweak a tuning key after yanking a string out of tune.

His version of Booker T and the M.G.'s Green Onions is some awesome wanking. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1UbvOaTJcKQ

I say Buchanan didn't want to be famous, he wanted a normal life. His death in a small=town U.S., drunk tank was mysterious and tragic. All that exists is a police report, which says he was found hanging by his shirt in his cell. That must be bullshit. How does a man that size string himself up by his shirt??

I was joking, sort of. i was not talking about hair styles , I was talking about Noel's countenence in one picture I saw back in the 20th, he was in a foul mood, probably he was hung over and some stupid photographer's flash went off in his face. He looked like he wanted to punch someone in the mouth, yet he don't look like much of a fighter, Hence my use of the term "punk", He looked like he was trying to act mean.

    :)

Would not recognize their music. The one thing I remember reading was that they had "Beatle-like" harmonies. I'll have a listen one day.

My favorite Beethoven symphony is the Pastoral. What about you?
The Gallagher punk? Noel ... for sure. Bad ass creative. BUT ... in performance no one I've every seen, and I've seen a lot Fred, no one attacks a word shape like Liam Gallagher. The pure force of his vocal crushes. And Noel is well aware of that force.

    Yes, word shapes.

    Ode to Joy ... Beethoven's 9th is ... I don't know ... spiritual???

From a design perspective I've studied his compositions for years. How he built it. His use of a theme or a simple motif is so absolutely wonderful and thoughtful to it's purpose ... very clean, very rhythmic ... describing its subject matter.

    Ode to Joy, crazy awesome!

I can't say which of his compositions is my fav ... but somewhere tied for 1st along with his 9th symphony ...

    Piano Concerto Number 3
    5th symphony
    Moonlight sonata
    Für Elise
    ...
Here's an amusing read on Beethoven's compositional methodology ...
