1973. Age 13, home alone watching the Indianapolis 500. Anyone remember Swede Savaga?

Yes, I watched this live. But most horrific and traumatizing to a six-year-old was watching live when Jack Ruby shot and killed the patsy, Lee Harvey Oswald.

June 5, 1968 was traumatic for an 8-yr old. Was watching the Democratic Convention live from the Ambassador Hotel with my mom. Kennedy gives a great speech and left the stage to a rousing ovation I'm sure. As I recall, minutes later, a young woman steps up to the mic and breaks the news to the crowd. huh????

you might like this picture, you might not...

Watched them all did you? That would take some kind of intestinal fortitude. More than I've got, I'm sure.

Kirk Stevens' hit on Eric Lindros. Stevens laid him out with full intent. What a p.o.s. Wonder if Stevens has a conscience?

Hah, I was hurting after the panthers, a bush league team if there ever was one, knocked Lemieux and the Penguins out of the NHL playoffs.a while back. Lemiux was having a great year, I believe it was his comeback year after coming down with Hodgkin's disease. Brings to mind the Minnesota North Stars ending the Habs dynasty in the '79 playoffs. That was the year La Fleur went down with an eye injury that ended his career, and also three other top players were out with injury.
