North American youth u-10 2013 champion who swept with 9 out of 9 has registered together with his brother Ivan. Sergey Noritsyn.

What a field it will be with a strong open section players. The 3 masters will not have it easy with strong Mississauga players and some strong juniors like Sergey and Nicholas.

U1600 section will see some exciting battles with strong Mississauga junior players fighting for the crown.

Still not too late to register and join the fray. Exciting battle to watch tomorrow.

      40 players now

      Stay tuned for more updates.

It's nice having our three new generation Canadian prodigies playing together here, Sergey Noritsyn(rating 21xx, born 2003), Eugene Hua(rating 19xx , born 2003), and Nicholas Vettese(rating 19xx , born 2004).

If the other two Harmony Zhu(rating 18xx , born 2005), Nameer Issani(rating 18xx , born 2006) will join, it will make the tournament even more perfect...:)

          Hi Gary:

It seems you and the Mississauga tournament organizers have done a fine job - I'd have loved to have played, but my schedule does not allow Hart House Reading Week Open, Mississauga Standard, Aurora Spring Open, plus regular weeknight play at two different Toronto clubs. My better half is very supportive of my chess playing and other chess activities. But I have to consider that we all have a breaking point. ;) . Good luck, good skill to all, and have fun.

            Hi Cheney

It will be fantastic if Harmony, Nameer and Aahill can join.

            Cheers

              Hi Bob,

Thanks for your kind words and wishes. I am really excited about tomorrow. Maybe you would like to consider our next event which might take place in April or May.

              Cheers for Canada chess.

                  Re: Missisauga March Standard

Great job Gary, Paul, and Ferdinand, getting this tournament launched.
I wish I could play, but previous commitments have me elsewhere. :(

Anyway, please allow me to shamelessly plug the next event at this site:

Next sunday, Mar 9th - Mississauga Chess Club will be sponsoring the
Brampton Mississauga Chess Championships (for kids)
This is an OCC qualifier tournament for Chess N'Math.
We have 12 kids preregistered at this time, so please help us spread the word.
                  Thanks.

                    Hi Bob

We would love to have you in the list so make sure next time you are in....

I am sure some of the kids playing in the tournament will play in next week qualifier at the same venue.

                    Cheers
