If you are referring to the governors vote, it was a non-binding on the executive straw poll. You will be able to see it and the debate yourself once you are confirmed as a governor at the time of the AGM. With regard to the deliberations of the board they were in a series of emails, telephone and skype conversations and in some cases face to face communications between members of the board.

I've heard that there was a straw vote, a discussion, etc... To avoid further embarrassment please confirm publicly that this so-called endorsement is null and void.

    Abstain 4 votes
Vote for but do not endorse Kirsan 4 votes
    Endorse Kirsan 8 votes

One member of the executive who voted to endorse Kirsan was not able to vote in the governors poll but did vote in the executive poll. The straw poll of the governors was not binding on the executive.

Actually, there was also a vote for Al Gore, but that was later discovered to have a 'hanging chad'.

But seriously, what would have been the procedure if the one governor who voted to vote for but not endorse Gary had instead voted to endorse Gary? That would have created an 8 - 8 tie between endorsing Gary or endorsing Kirsan (quite a polarization).

In the President's poll here there was only 1 vote for Ilumzhinov and almost 30 for Kasparov, yet the President insists that he had Governors' and Executives' vote to endorse Ilumzhinov.
I challenge Governors and Executives to come out of hiding and confirm when and how they voted. If indeed most of them voted for Ilumzhinov, they've neglected what majority of CFC's Membership wanted.

They then decided to make their own decision, but were not in any way binded to the results.

Chesstalk is equivalent to a gossip column in the tabloids, it holds no power in any serious discussion.

Abuse, or encouraging abuse, is out of bounds as far as I'm concerned. I'd rather nip it in the bud than have to disentangle an ugly mess.

Your suggestion, however, is a good one. I may just do that.
