Re : Prizes ?
We have massive ties in some sections (like section B) and we want to be completly sure of the prizes before posting them. Tiviakov won the Armageddon tiebreaks, as I mentioned yesterday, which was only for the title and the name on the Molson Cup. He also had the best tiebreaks and won $3200 (if I remember well). We only gave the prizes for the winners in each section yesterday, and will mail and publish all the other prizes this week (hopefully today or tomorrow).

Prizes ?

It is not easy to figure them out: Hort Sytem, Armageddon tiebreak (I can't see it mentioned in the "INFORMATION" web page of the tournament) etc.
Thank you.

Jason Cao got an IM norm. Section B results will be posted tonight. Sorry for the delay, we need to clear the room by midnight :)
All prizes will be posted soon.

Re: Re : Re: Re : Re: Re : Re: 2014 Canadian Open Announcement
As the tourney has ended right now, is there any chess player who has achieved an international norm for the titles?

Are the results of the B section (2000 - 2400) posted anywhere?

Tiviakov won. We will publish the videos of the games next week. We will publish the full list of prize winners soon, but we want to make all verifications before.

As far as I know, a lot of people got 3.5/4 and would tie for first. The arbiters are making sure that we indeed have all the results correctly and we will most likely announce the winners at the CO closing ceremony (and mail the cheques for those who won't be there).
