  • Chessbase about Hypercube Blitz in Holland

There is an interesting article posted on chessbase yesterday about the Hypercube Blitz (speed tournament) in Utrecht, Holland. About 150 players entered. Winner of the top section got significant bragging rights plus 1000 Euros (entry 5 Euros). Anyways at the bottom of the article is a link to a fairly well done lengthy commentary (with pictures of moves!) however in Dutch. The current controversy causing alot of discussion is whether or not two hands are allowed in speed chess. Apparently only during castling but not with pawn promotion!? Interesting!?

and what about capturing? Some people think you may use a second hand to remove the captured piece.
