Looks like Eric is 4-0 - he beat GM Tiger Hillarp-Persson in round 4.

A recent tweet from Eric asked (rhetorically) when he would return to form... I guess he has the answer now!
Well done... maintain focus. Wax on, Wax off.

Was it really Round 4? ChessBomb shows it as Round 3.

The official site had the round 4 game live.

            http://www.guernseychessfederation.o...st2014/tfd.htm

As of 4:30 pm (EDT), the crosstable hasn't been updated, but it shows the two of them paired for round 4.

If you are to believe the official Web site, Eric just won his 6th game in a row - game 6 won in 16 moves (it seems that there is still plenty of play in the position, but definitely White stands better.)
              Aman Hambleton has 3.5/5.

I beg to differ. Black is virtually in zugzwang! And White will roll him up on the queenside.

Hambleton-Hansen was a short draw. I was sufficiently forewarned to be able to arrange for another game to go out on the live board.

                    Re: Eric Hansen at Guernsey

Add 1 to each of the round numbers (6 rounds have been played). You are missing Eric's round 1 win against Dirk Sikkel (2007).

Round 7 (final round) - Eric plays Aman. Unfortunately - it's not the featured "live" game (there is only one each round).
