Chessbase has an article about WYCO

I have to say I'm really impressed how the Hungarian Chess Federation organized this event. All games are available online (lots of DGT boards), daily reports on YouTube and official site, daily brilliancy prize (a jacket for the players), daily treats for players and much more. Also there is a free FIDE Trainer's Seminar on December 17th (the free day).

Before round 5, the organizers surprised some players with birthday cakes. One of the player is Jason Cao.

                      Day off tomorrow
                      Double round day Thursday

                      Rd 6 team pairings

                      3. Moldova - Canada 1
                      13. Canada 2 - Ireland
                      26. Slovakia 1 - Canada 3

One of the rules was: Each team shall comprise 4 players and 1 reserve (one of whom must be a girl) and 1 captain (or Manager, Trainer). (FIDE HB B. IV. 09. 5.)
Looking at the Moldavian team they have only 4 boys in their lineup. Other teams (Israel1, Israel2, Romania) are in the same situation.

Happy birthday Jason and nice game!

Thursday is going to be tough. I wonder why they have double round days. All three teams are doing well with team one in good position for a possible medal run in the second half.

Canada1 plays Moldova Thursday morning and although the Moldova team lineup has not been announced, they have played the same four players in all their matches thus far.
It would seem that if they have a girl on the team, she has not yet played at all. Is this allowed by the rules of the tournament?

                            Moldova (MDA)

                            1 FM Morozov, Nichita 2307 -
                            2 Abramciuc, Marius 2204 -
                            3 Macovei, Andrei 2168 -
                            4 Chetrari, Nikita 2117 -

From the Facebook photos it looks like Jason won the round brilliance prize with this game. His game will be analyzed by GM Mihail Marin at http://wyco2014.chess.hu/news/
