Most of our regular players were at the PWC Toronto Open, hence the lack of players. We expect renewed activity this coming Saturday (so the TD won't have to play:).
Btw, Hikaru Nakamura will be back in Toronto next month and has promised to play! Watch this space for details of which Saturday - he plans revenge upon Samsonkin ;)

I would make it a point to show up! In that case, you should charge a spectator fee! It would be worth it.

Actually, all players receive a $5 coupon (cost included in their entry fee) spectators may be asked to purchase coupon (for $5!) which then is applied against their bar or kitchen tab. Since everyone spends at least $5, we won't get kicked out soon:)

Note: One of our best kept secrets are the friendly chess after the blitz which ends at 4pm or so. Sometimes doubles chess (bughouse ) for which there is NO FEE, but you still need to spend $$ with the kitchen or bar.
