  • Anderson-Fuster match, 1954

According to the chess column by Dudley Ledain, in the Oct. 2, 1954 issue of the Montreal "Gazette", there was a booklet published on this match. Frank Anderson won the match 2-1 with 7 draws (all games are in CanBase http://canbase.fqechecs.qc.ca/canbaseii.htm ).

"K. Kerns, 323 Walmer Road, Apt. 1, Toronto has a few extra copies of a match brochure available to those interested. Contains all the games with thorough annotations by F. R. Anderson".

Does anyone have a copy of this brochure?

    Anderson-Fuster Match, 1954

The title of the booklet is:

Chess Match between Frank Anderson and Geza Fuster

    By Keith Kerns, 1954

It is 14 pgs, stapled and self-published.

A quick search online showed there were no copies in any of the major libraries. I believe I know of one copy owned by a private collector.

Since it is "only" 14 pages, perhaps that private collector can be persuaded to scan it and post it (here?)

I looked at a few of the games and it seems Geza missed a great opportunity in game 5. Had he played 36. Ne6 instead of
        36. Be4 he would probably have won. I wonder if he was in time trouble here?

Geza was always in time trouble. He was quite a character. I miss him.
