    DC International

Jason Cao, Yuanchen Zhang and Anton Kovalyov are tied for first after one round. There are a few other non-notables such as Luke McShane.

It looks like Raja Panjwani registered, but failed to show up for the first round. He was forfeited, and not paired for future rounds.

After 8 rounds Jason Cao has 5.5 points and is keeping company with higher-rated IMs and GMs. Another breakout performance (so far) by the young BC Champion!

I hear from his father that he has clinched an IM norm. (that makes his 2nd I believe)
