Mike Stanford?! At the Keres, there was talk of you. People were like, "What happened to Mike Stanford?" I consider you the resident expert on this matter. Can you shed some light?everytime it hurts, it hurts just like the first (and then you cry till there's no more tears)

Re: Jack Yoos wins the Keres Memorial
Hey Ben,
Hmmmm a lot of things happened I suppose. But the main thing was that, when I took a break from chess, that gap (spare time) was filled, and then filled with other stuff, and then another layer.... Till it's like, "Wow where's the time for chess?!" (I'm not suggesting that I became super busy or anything like that, just that the time I'd devote to chess before I stopped was... a lot.)--- But most times when I go to Victoria to visit fam, I meet up with Manfrei and often we either go over some of his games, or games from local tournies.
I'm living in Vancouver now(between cambie and oak, just off 41st), working (if you can call it that), and going to school part time (better late than never).
