The advice to stay out of CFC politics is certainly good advice; Razvan has already proven himself on the chessboard!
The upcoming GM title is well deserved with very hard work and great support from his family... Well done.

Agreed. Excellent advice. I look forward to seeing Razvan reach the rating requirements and hence the GM Norm.

Rene, I have to reply to that. I have to say I personally try hard to stay out of CFC politics, but sometimes its very hard to. (and probably the best way) I was on the selection committee many years ago and made an unpopular decision but the player backed out on his own. I stood by my decision. If I was on the selection committee this year I personally would have chosen Razvan (not even a question). Razvan will be the first home grown GM from Ontario and is a shining representative of our youth and the future. I wish there was more we could do for him.
