The Quebec Open appears to have used Median-Buchholz followed by Buchholz. Median-Buchholz removes the highest and lowest scoring opponents and totals the rest. Buchholz is a simple total of opponents' scores. Because it was an 8 round event, removing two opponents still leaves 6 for the calculation. In a smaller event, Median-Buchholz might not be appropriate.
