Maïli fought hard in Game 2 with White but still fell to much more experienced Aleksandra Goryachkina.

At only 16 years old, she leaves the WWC with her head held high. Bravo Maïli-Jade Ouellet for representing Canada so well and showing maturity and tenacity! You made all of us proud.

Molina Alisab must have been the surprise of the tournament taking out two experienced grandmasters in a row before succumbing to Mariya Mucychyk in a hard fought tactical melee.
