You know that you're really going off the deep end when it's becoming too much even for Fox News: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...rce=reddit.com

Looks like the idiotinChief has a new strategy: he will file a number of lawsuits (especially in PA) to contest everything from the mechanics of the vote counting to the colour of the socks people were wearing - all in an attempt to invalidate some or all of the process. I guess he would love to have something escalate to the US Supreme Court, but as far as I know, almost all election law is governed by the specific state and their own courts. Anyway, tantrum after tantrum will follow until the U-haul shows up and the Secret Service gladly escort his sorry ass out of the White House.

Message to Trump - You're fired!!

But now what? This election was far too close for anyone to be comfortable about the future.

I poked the bear out of frustration for sure. I've been reading the same type of stuff for a decade. If you have a lot more time than I do you can sort the forum by Replies and many of the top threads will feature a Greatest Hits. I'll go back to lurking and hope I can restrain myself from saying dumb shit for another several years.

Cool, thanks! I didn't see those tendencies back in 2017, 2018 & 2019 ... did you? Can you point to those tendencies throughout those years when you didn't spend your membership money? Perhaps tagging Vlad as a conspiracy theorist and fascist is a falsehood? Or at the very least an exaggeration/stretch?

I've seen (and still see) his leadership vision equal to that of a bank of fog ... but not those. To be fair ... seems like your comment is more about Trump 2020 and perhaps using the CFC as a beast of burden.

Just curious Joel ... when was the time you were a member of the Chess Federation of Canada?

I never withdrew from that tournament because I was only there for one night and was able to play one game. The guy I lost to seemed to be a good guy as well. Edmonton Chess Club has some good folks. Always enjoyed my time there. I hope to one day spend time playing chess with the CFC should things change. For now, online chess works for me!

Your last memory of organized chess is losing to someone three or four hundred points below you on the rating scale and then withdrawing from the last round of your event and never playing again. Those types of losses happen to everyone at some point. I recall one of my games in Michigan in early 2009, where I was playing in the last round of a tournament where I was vying for last place with my opponent. I was suffering from a cold, low blood sugar and some digestive issues from the fast food I had eaten. At a certain point my opponent made a combination which appeared to restore the balance in the position. My next move hung every one of my remaining pieces but left him without the ability to take any of them without being immediately mated or in the best case going into a trivially lost endgame. People walked by and looked at the position, did a double take and started shaking their heads. I knew in that moment that I would never stop playing chess as long as I was physically able.

I am neither a conspiracy theorist nor a fascist but it is great of you to share the logic of your momentous decision in 2017. It allows us an insight into your intellect and thought process. I thank you for that.
