After your post I went and played over Firoujza - Hou Yifan. After the combo she initiated at move 11 getting the two knights was forced and then white had to defend and reposition himself for many moves. Still over 100 moves of sheer joy with the two knights! and kudos to Hou Yifan for playing into it.

Wesley blunders away a much better position in game one (admittedly it was very complicated) but then keeps it closed in game two and wins an unexpectedly brilliant endgame! Game on!
In game three Wesley won the queen and a positional edge for two rooks but opened up too soon afterwards. Can he bounce back again?
Magnus survived game 4 and wins the match.Last edited by Hans Jung; Tuesday, 29th June, 2021, 10:44 AM.

After winning in a lovely finish in game one Artemiev has gotten into Giri's head and is up 3-0!
Erigaisi is playing brilliantly against Aronian and is up a game. Can he keep it up?
The kid plays into a very tricky two knights vs two bishops endgame and then blunders but its still not easy but Aronian plays a pawn race to queens and a spectacular mate at the end! Game 3 to Levon tying the match! - and game 4 is a draw!
Ding - Duda looked to be headed into tie breaks after three draws but in game four Ding went for everything and got - - - nothing - - - however with seconds on the clock at least the end is exciting. Duda almost threw it all away but a crazy draw is the result.Last edited by Hans Jung; Tuesday, 29th June, 2021, 10:54 AM.
