The road was not easy for Eljanov. In rd 7 Kollars defeated Eljanov. Then in rd 8 Kasimdzhanov gave Kollars a nice prolonged lesson in knight and bishop vs rook and pawn. In round 9 Eljanov in turn beat Kasimdzanov to win the tournament.
