Erik, yes, I updated on my spreadsheet. I did not like much it. Thus at this moment the list is without FIDE ratings. I'll talk with my buddies about that what to offer to players. We might stick to CFC and pre-March 1 FIDE ratings for sections.

Update on this:

• I sent out emails to players you mentioned and couple more offering them to move up the section (for some to U2100, some to U1700) as per FIDE rating, or stay in the section as per their CFC rating. {some love to play up, some wanna be in their actual strength group. I think the CFC rating is more accurate with that.) [and no up-fee with these movements]
• As for the Swiss pairings, the CFC ratings will be used.
• The next Aurora Open will have new section rules.

Nope. Though we'll collect scoresheet of Master sections and post them. Maybe that means broadcasted with a delay :)

Tomorrow the CFC should update their ratings, then the tournament will be updated with the fresh ratings and maybe that would shuffle sections too.

Message to players - the list ( https://www.aucc.club/2024-aurora-sp...4-aso-players/ ) has now a column with byes. Please double check, especially if you need one for round 1.

The Main event is filled with 130 players. We still can fit few more. Though, the registration shall be done till 1 pm as later we'll start setting up the hall and doing pairings.

Any special requests - please send them ASAP. Byes, you have siblings, parents/sons/daughters non wishing to play etc.
