Overlooked by me in all the other excitement was the huge upset of Shawn RL by Anthony Atanasov. Congratulations Anthony!

Nicholas Vettese attacked with gusto against Adam Dorrance but could not breakthru and was worse most of the way. The move that caught my attention was 39.Ne6+ wonderful tactics and the resulting threats on the C-file.

Rd 10 Another amazing endgame in the Shiyam game! We fans are getting way way more than our moneys worth! Thanks Shiyam and Adam. Actually double and triple thanks. Why? No short draw in round 10. Obviously both gentlemen players are sincere chess lovers and have maxed out the game.

                  Adam Dorrance vs Shiyam Thavandiran 25...Qxa3+ is a very cool move. White resigns on move 47. The continuation might be 48.Kb1 Ne4 49.Nf1 Nc3+ 50.Ka1 Nxd5 51.Ka2 e4 52.Kxa3 e3 etc.

                            • under 1800 Haneul Park and Sarthak Deshpande both with 6. I assume Haneul Park finished first because of beating Sarthak Deshpande in their individual encounter.
