  • CFC forums?

Is anyone else having trouble accessing the CFC forums? I keep getting "Database error" for at least the last 10 days. (I'm using Edge).

I can't access either (using Chrome).

      No luck here. Chrome.

There was an earlier post that they are looking on to repairing the problem . I think they upgraded their server or website to get a more stronger site.

We will be upgrading our server at some additional cost.

The forums are a major way that we keep people informed but there are issues with them.

We may need to look at the way that we do our online meetings as I am not sure that we will be up in time for the upcoming meeting.

We are the only organization that I know of which has such long meetings. In the long run, the forums are based on an old technology that most have abandoned.

I am now using www.swisssys.com to post my pairings.

I used the CFC forums to advertise my tournaments and to post some games.

Not a serious problem, but SwissSys only seems to supply board numbers and pairings for the current round only. How do you get them for preceding rounds?

Wallchart or Standings give you previous pairings.

I don't see board numbers for previous rounds.

The CFC forums seem to be accessible again.
