Re: Hart House Holidays Open - Updates?

Are there any updates? How did round 1 go? Is there a final list of attendees? Pairings for R2?

        lets speculate:

Board 1 (first row and right) Noritsyn-Gerzhoy
        Board 2 Calugar - Sambuev
        Board 3 Samsonkin - Southam
        Board 4 ... - Sapozhnikov

Meaning, that players at 2-4 boards drew one game in rounds one and two.

Several photos were reserved for the CFC Newsletters January issue.

I've grabbed all available scoresheets (mainly top boards of Open section), but probably process completely only after Christmas.

Does anybody (Alex, Bryan) remember what a board was for this 2nd round game Sambuev - Wiebe?

              Re: Hart House Holidays Open

              Hi,

I don't remember but by calculating from the standings it should have been board 6. (Sambuev drew Round 1, 10 people won in Round 1, and Sambuev was the highest seed in the 0.5/1 bracket -- none of the Round 1 winners took a Round 2 bye)

All available games (30) can be viewed at an unofficial OCA website http://www.kris-egis.com/oca/2010/01...e-holiday-open
I may say that they are high level OTB games from masters (including IMs and a GM)

The PGN file be posted later. CanBase should receive a personal email later, too ;)

Seems the results were submitted in time and they entered into 2010 January FIDE rating calculations.
