Its now up to Razvan on board 4. In my opinion he has a winning rook endgame. If Razvan wins it Team Canada wins the match! Fingers-crossed.

Fittingly, India won the last match with two wins with the black pieces. Gukesh and Erigaisi came through bigtime! Did they both get to 2800 as a result. Pretty close. Gold for India!

Team Canada is in 32nd place. The Canadian women are 25th. A win in the last round by the women will put them in the top 20.

In the India - USA match Gukesh beat Caruana, despite all Caruana's tricks, and Erigaisi beat Dominguez to win the match 2.5-1.5. This is India's last major challenge and they have all but clinched the gold.

The final position in the Wesley So - Pragga game is a pretty picture. Look at that lineup on the H-file!

Shiyam scores first! What a game and what great defence!! Last move of the game Kg7! Nothing like a large checkmate threat.

Aronian vs Vidit on board four. Two fantastic tacticians. Will there be fireworks? Fans want to know. Anticipation is making me wait. Keeping me waiting.
