India is playing the US. If they win this match they have basically taken the gold. If the US win they will be tied for first and have the biggest upset of the Olympiad. However I dont foresee that happening, Should be some excitement along the way.

The Canadian Women are in 38th place. If they win their last two matches they could finish in the teens which would be their best ever modern placing.

There are two rounds left. Team Canada is in 44th place. If they put a bit of a push on and try to win both their last two matches they could finish in the 20's which would be very respectable.

White would have time to move his rook to a1 and "walk" the king to b3 to capture the Black pawn that would have reached a2.

    Is this right ?

A big win by Raja! Big wins by Raja and Shiyam mean that Team Canada will at least tie their match.

Shawn could not hold the draw so the match ends up tied.

India approached the match with Uzbekistan very cautiously with the attitude defence first! -and they were successful with four fighting draws. A good example of successful defence against an ambitious attack is Sindarov-Pragga.

Big win by Shiyam! He sacrificed the exchange for a well advanced passed D-pawn and it paid off big time!

Looks like our Women's Team has a good chance of beating Hungary. One loss but leading by a lot in two games and equal in one game. Possible 2.5 out of 4.
