The only way that might change is if Ray Robson wins but he has a tough grind ahead of him.

Rd 10 The Shankland Sevian game has been very entertaining to watch. Sam Sevian has four pawns for a piece for most of the game. I think he is finally making headway against Sam Shanklands tenacious defence.

Rd 10 The Lee - Tokhirjonova game may go over a hundred moves as Tokhirjonova is trying to survive by stting up a fortress, but young Alice is determined.

Rd 10 Alice Lee does Carissa Yip's job for her as she breaks Tokhirjonova's fortress.

Carissa Yip will now win the championship.

Alice Lee is equal second with Tokhirjonova with one round to go.

Rd 10 Ray Robson finally ended up winning so is now tied for second with Awonder Liang.

Rd 10 Sam Sevian ended up winning a fascinating game against Sam Shankland. That leaves Sevian tied for fourth with Hans Niemann.

Rd 10 Zatonskih beat Yip as Carissa Yip after going 8-0 has lost her last two games. Thanks to Alice Lee she has finally sewn up the championship with one round to go.

Rd 10 Tatev Abrahamyan lost in a street brawl to Irina Krush. Both sides were throwing shots but Tatev let her king get opened up and at the end she got mated.

Going into the last round matters are complicated in the open section. On paper (the crosstable) Fabiano Caruana leads by half a point over Awonder Liang and Ray Robson. However Ray has a last round bye (due to the Chris Yoo ejection) and therefore has no chance of competing for first.
Awonder Liang has to play Lenier Dominguez so that will be a tough game.

I like Fabiano's chances the best as he plays Sam Shankland wo just lost a long game.

In the battle for fourth (or maybe third?) Sam Sevian and Hans Niemann play each other.

The women's is fairly clear. Going into the last round Carissa Yip has already won the championship and plays Alice Lee who has good chances.

In the womens Tokhirjonova, tied for second with Alice Lee, plays Abrahamyan and is likely to finish second.

Megan Lee is in fourth a 5.5 and she plays Atwell as white so a win is likely.

There is a big logjam at 5 points so the rest of the field is hard to predict.

Recently I have never seen such a mess in a round robin as this one caused by the ejection of Chris Yoo from the field and the resulting not counting of his results and the resulting byes.
