    I believe Salim is about 7 years too young for induction. I think you have to be 50 years old? The same reason I did not mention Alexandre Lesiège who is 49.

      Oh sorry, you are right Ian. It has to be someone who has retired from chess or past their prime, I learned.

        I think roughly 50 years old is the rule of thumb. Alex L is in the HoF and got in a couple of years "early".

          The Canadian Hall of Fame Committee is pleased to announce the inductee for 2025 is IA Hal Bond, who has been honoured for his lifetime of work for chess in Canada and abroad. There will be public presentation of the award to Hal at an upcoming tournament this spring or summer.
