I believe Salim is about 7 years too young for induction. I think you have to be 50 years old? The same reason I did not mention Alexandre Lesiège who is 49.

I think roughly 50 years old is the rule of thumb. Alex L is in the HoF and got in a couple of years "early".Originally posted by Ian Findlay View PostI believe Salim is about 7 years too young for induction. I think you have to be 50 years old? The Canadian Hall of Fame Committee is pleased to announce the inductee for 2025 is IA Hal Bond, who has been honoured for his lifetime of work for chess in Canada and abroad. There will be public presentation of the award to Hal at an upcoming tournament this spring or summer.

Who ever thought when I asked to see your game when we first met, that you'd turn out to be so GREAT. Congratulations.

Congratulations Hal.
Your long-term dedication to chess in Canada and around the world is more than worthy of this award.
