Rd 10 I haven't commented on one of Arthur Pijpers games before but he just played a great game against Bulmaga. 18.h6 is the correct pawn break in this position against the castled king and 26.Bxc5 pseudo-sacrifice leads to beautiful play. To finish the last move of the game e5 has nice touches which encouraged his opponent to resign. A memorable game.
Its his first win in the tournament and if he can win his last two games against GM's he will achieve a GM norm.

Rd 10 Gukesh is the first to win in the Masters section this round. 30...Nxg3 was a bolt from the blue! I've got the feeling he wants to win this tournament and clear first after ten rounds is a good sign.

Rd 10 Lots of winning endgames this round but I think Abdusattarov wants to win this in the middlegame.

Key king walk by Abdusattarov to finish. Very picturesque!

Rd 10 Fedoseev's game had to many holes in it and Pragga settled into a nice win with the passed D pawn.

Rd 10 Trademark game by L'Ami. Passed pawn on c6 inhibits and then patience until he spots the breakthrough with another passed pawn ending up on f7!

Rd 10 Suleymanli traps the rook with h5 and Nogerbek gets three pawns for the piece but cant hang on to them. Win for Suleymanli.

Rd 10 Lovely to watch Svane's precision play in the endgame and, of course, it led to a win over Deshmukh.

Nguyen vs Vaishali. Lovely to watch the duelling knights but the white knights ended up keying and the black knights repeating. Vaishali is definitely off form and Nguyen took advantage of that to win.
