Tymur Keleberda. Who is he?? Well I looked on chess results and his DOB is 2006 so he is a youth player or a recent young adult graduate. and he is from Edmonton Alberta. Perhaps the folks from Edmonton care to share. Who will take credit for coaching him? He plays like an old experienced player - cautious and very strategic - and believe me that is meant as an observation and as a compliment.

Mike Ivanov has recovered from two tough losses with a beautifully, strategically played Kings Indian Attack in round 6. Onwards and upwards Mike! Lets see more of that inspired chess!

Rd 6 I smell good news for Shawn but he is rather short on time.

Shawn was better but took the draw probably due to time shortage. Tense game.

Rd 6 Nikolay Noritsyn found an incredible checkmate pattern and Tymur Keleberda finally goes down to defeat.

Nikolay Noritsyn is on top of the tournament, alone in first with 5.5 out of 6!

Nikolay Noritsyn, Shawn Rodrigue Lemieux, and Bator Sambuev are hot, hot ,hot! Don't get too close or you might get burned. The finish to this closed should be very exciting.

Rd 6 I never thought I'd see a Christmas tree game again but its happened in Gary Ng - Anthony Atanasov. The breakthrough has come on move 63 - 64.

The game lasted 105 moves with no resolution = draw.

Rd 6 I wish I was there in person to see Jaferian and Kalinin duke it out with seconds on the clock.

Will it be N N vs Shawn RL in round seven?

Nikolay Noritsyn is white against GM Shawn RL right now. The big game.

An incredible endgame and what a fight.
